Today is November 23. Today is the birthday of President Franklin Pierce. He was the 14th president and many American’s know nothing about him. He was born in 1804.

Today is November 21. The first manned flight took place. Jean Pilatre de Rozier and Francois Laurent d’Arlandes flew for 25 minutes over Paris. They covered 6 miles at an altitude of 300 feet. They flew, not in an airplane, but in a ballon. The interesting thing is the year: 1783.
